Field Trip
an InterAct
presented by TREe and the InterDependence Project
April 30th, 2010 @ 7pm
Strawberry Fields, Central Park (near West 72nd Street entrance)
ABOUT
Join us in a new form of civic engagement called InterActs. Each month a group of meditators will meet at different locations in Manhattan to connect our awareness to issues within our community. We will express these issues as scenes of contemplation intent on encouraging conversation and creative prosperity among both participants and witnesses.
Field Trip, our second InterAct, is the first movement from the Stellina series. Stellina is a series of intricate yet simple movement scores composed within monochromatic natural environments inspired by Renee Fabbiocchi's STELLINA Project / Soul-Genesis Theory, chakra texts, and choreographer Kristen Schifferdecker's personal healing practice. Field Trip explores the color green as an element in understanding the intrinsic energies and forces that define our unconscious readings of information and our environment (i.e. our experienced reality). www.rednovae.com | www.rednovae.org
Choreographer and Dancer: Kristen Schifferdecker
Creative Team: Josh Adler (producer, organizer), Kelley Branch (dancer), Robert Colpitts (dramaturg, organizer), Autumn Horne (visual artist, organizer), Kim Kullmer (visual artist), Chelsea Retzloff (dancer), Mario Rincon & Friends (musicians), Anthony Whitehurst (adviser, facilitator)
Ensemble: Various participants from the InterDependence Project community and beyond.
